Trego County Public Works maintains roads, manages noxious weed control, and enforces zoning regulations to ensure safe and efficient infrastructure. The department is responsible for road maintenance, drainage projects, and land-use planning to support sustainable development.
Road & Bridge
The Road and Bridge department maintains 205 miles of dirt roadways, 965 miles of sand roadways and 316 bridges. They provide in-house bridge, ditch, and culvert maintenance and installation; snow removal, and county roadside mowing. They maintain 10 graders, 2 plow trucks and 3 mowers.
The department installs and maintains all County traffic signs. They also respond to emergency assistance needs.
